Canberra Theatre from 25 April
With a host of awards for Best New Comedy to its credit, The Play That Goes Wrong actually appears to be doing something right for West End audiences, and now audiences here will get their chance to witness theatrical disaster on stages across Australia when this hilarious masterpiece stumbles into town. Described as Fawlty Towers meets Noises Off, The Play That Goes Wrong will play in Canberra from 25 April.
Awarded the 2015 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy and 2014 Whatsonstage.com Best New Comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong continues to thrive on the West End and will open on Broadway this year.
UK Director Mark Bell visited Australia recently to undertake casting and was delighted with the array of comic talent on offer. The Producers are proud to announce that they have found a new and doubly incompetent bunch of ‘would be’ thespians ready to take to the Australian stage.
The cast includes BROOKE SATCHWELL, who started her TV career in Neighbours, winning a Logie Award in 1998 for Best Newcomer, and has most recently appeared in Black Comedy, Wonderland and Dirty Laundry Live. Joining her are DARCY BROWN, a Green Room Award-winning actor with varied and impressive theatre credits including a recent acclaimed solo performance in MTC’s Peddling; FRANCINE CAIN, who was nominated for a Helpmann Award for her performance in Rock of Ages, and has recently played Frenchy in the national tour of Grease and Calliope in the Hayes Theatre Co season of the roller-skating musical Xanadu; Actor/Writer ADAM DUNN; music theatre performer LUKE JOSLIN; GEORGE KEMP, who appeared in Bull for The Old Fitz (Sydney Arts Guide Winner of Best Independent Drama) and Sport for Jove’s multi award-winning The Taming of the Shrew; and JORDAN PROSSER, a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, who works as an actor, writer and director across both stage and screen.
NICK SIMPSON-DEEKS, a NIDA graduate, a three-time Green Room Award nominee and a Mike Walsh Fellow; and TAMMY WELLER, a graduate from the University of Southern Queensland, who is also a writer and whose play Single Admissions was nominated for six Matilda Awards. Current Mischief Theatre actor, JAMES MARLOWE, who is an original cast member from the West End production of The Play That Goes Wrong and has also performed in Peter Pan Goes Wrong on UK tour, will join the Australian cast.
The Play That Goes Wrong introduces ‘The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society’ who are attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong…does, as the accident-prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call.
Co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields and directed by Mark Bell, The Play That Goes Wrong is a highly physical comedy packed with finely-tuned farce and Buster Keaton inspired slapstick delivered with split-second timing and ambitious daring. The Play That Goes Wrong, which started its life at a London fringe venue with only four paying customers at the first performance, is now enjoying its third catastrophic year on the West End and has gone on to play to an audience of over a quarter of a million.
Mischief Theatre was founded in 2008 by a group of graduates of The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and began as an improvised comedy group. The company perform across the UK and internationally with improvised and original scripted work. This is Mischief’s first Australian Tour and they look forward to Going Wrong, upside down, on the other side of the world.

2015 was an excellent year for actor Kurt Phelan. After conjuring his inner Patrick Swayze in a national tour of Dirty Dancing he has been touring his brand new cabaret, Phelan Groovy – a hilarious, access all areas romp into his mind both on and off stage. The production is part biographical, part behind-the-scenes voyeurism and all entertainment.
Kurt Phelan is no stranger to the stage. He has performed major roles in some of the biggest musicals in Australia over the past decade, including Singin’ In The Rain, Priscilla, Queen of The Desert and his star turn in Dirty Dancing. This year he is going rogue and taking off the mask, showing his true passion for storytelling, song and good old fashioned fun.
“While I love this industry that has supported me so well, I wanted to create something in my own voice, something that is honest, cheeky, entertaining and deeply personal,” says Phelan. “Also I just really wanted to have a yarn and sing some e**ffing great songs!”
Phelan Groovy is an hour of unabashed laughter and music that doesn’t take itself too seriously and asks its audience to do the same. It is refreshingly honest and disarmingly joyous, which ensures that it’s moments of dark poignancy come as a genuine surprise. The music traverses everything from Farnham to Lorde to music theatre and back again. And who could deny a song or two with the word “Feelin’” in it, as well. There are songs from the womb, a pitch for Prime Minister and a singalong to boot.

21-year-old Leo rocks up unannounced at the Manhattan apartment of his 91-year-old Jewish grandmother Vera. Having broken up with his girlfriend and cycled across the country, he needs a place to crash for the night, no questions asked. But Vera – prickly, stubborn and sharp as a tack – isn’t about to let him off that easily.
As an overnight couch-surf turns into an extended stay, 4000 Miles unearths a surprising parallel between these two generations in this emotionally compelling drama. With disarming frankness and surprising candour, the two negotiate social potholes and trace emotional fault lines that link them to a painful family history.
From one of America’s brightest playwrights, this compassionate and unsentimental play explores the funny, frustrating, and ultimately life-changing relationship between a grandson learning to face his life, and a grandmother who is starting to forget hers.

A Musical Theatre Show for Children by Peter Best
Audience Advice: Suitable for children up to 8 years
Once upon a time there were 3 bears and they sang, and they danced:
“Because we’re bears, not hippopotums, we’ve got bear feet and we’ve got bear bottoms
We’ve got bear heads and bear noses, bear feet and bear toeses,
It doesn’t really matter what clothes we wear, ‘cos every little bit of us is bear.”
A naughty little girl comes into their house uninvited, eats some porridge, breaks a chair and goes to sleep in their bed.
In some versions of this classic tale Goldilocks is eaten by the bears, but not this Goldilocks and not these bears.
Though they don’t entirely discount the thought………..
“Shall we shake her? Shall we bake her?
Make her quiver? Make her shiver?
Should we forgive her?”
Peter Best has written the music for films “Crocodile Dundee” & “Muriel’s Wedding”, television series “Grass Roots” & “Wildside”, much-loved jingles “Uh-Oh Razzamatazz, “Slip Slop Slap” & “Care for Kids”. He has won a truckload of awards however it’s in his capacity as father and grandfather that he wrote this musical for little kids. A raging success for Free Rain Theatre in Canberra and Tamarama Rock Surfers at the Bondi Pavilion, this play is pitched perfectly at discerning children aged up to 8. Parents will enjoy it too, but be warned: it doesn’t Panda to grown-ups.

PLAYHOUSE CREATURES
By April DeAngelis Directed by Jordan Best
In 1660 the throne was restored to Charles II and he returned from France in triumph. He brought with him an addiction to the theatre, as it had been done by the French. Boys will be boys, the saying goes, but boys would be girls too in England’s theatre companies until Charles’s artistic sensibility put an end to the stage being no place for a woman. He decreed that women would – for the first time – be allowed to perform on the English stage. They turned up in their droves – including the King – to see the spectacle of women performing.
Playhouse Creatures is set in the earlier part of the Restoration period, just before it starts to become a more respectable means of employment for a woman. This is the story of 5 of the most famous actresses of this time, their triumphs, their trials, and their struggle to be taken seriously as legitimate actors. These actresses are pioneers fighting for their careers. Seeking a genuine status as artists equal with the male actors who have already achieved that distinction. It is, undeniably, a feminist piece, although de Angelis is far too intelligent a writer to be merely ideological. And, above all, her play is marvellously entertaining and linguistically rich. In summary one of those evenings when theatre is more alive than life.
Cast: Liz Bradley, Amy Dunham, Jenna Roberts, Emma Wood, Karen Vickery

She’s played to sold-out houses and rave reviews across Australia, New York and Edinburgh- now Kiama born cabaret queen Amelia Ryan makes her Canberra debut with the sassy, side-splittingly hilarious and ruthlessly self-deprecating: AMELIA RYAN IS A STORM IN A D CUP; a dazzling tale of disaster with dysfunction at every turn.
A fabulously funny and endlessly entertaining autobiographical excursion into cabaret, A Storm in a D Cup mixes storytelling with retouched versions of well-known songs, as Ryan guides you on a sashay down memory lane. Her topics of choice from an incredible life story include the challenges of growing up in coastal Australia (Bombo, to be precise!) with a gay father and transgender stepmother, a brief stint as an exotic dancer to help pay her way through drama school and a string of disastrous forays into car ownership. But when life gives you lemons, you make cabaret.
Joined by the incomparable John Martin on the piano, she has witty takes on hit songs by artists such as 4 Non Blondes, Rogers & Hammerstein, and Belinda Carlisle. With her winning formula of intelligent humour and heart-warming honesty, A STORM IN A D CUP is a riotous, risqué, real look at the trials and tribulations we all face in life.
Ryan comes to Canberra fresh from award-winning and sell-out runs in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Edinburgh and New York City and is set to take Vivaldi’s by A Storm in a D Cup with this devastatingly funny and effortlessly charming hour of cabaret from an outstanding talent.

The hilarious story of a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script.
Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show,
Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance in which anything that can go wrong does.
When the author decides to give a speech on the state of the modern theatre during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to a madcap climax to a thoroughly hilarious romp.
Anyone connected with theatre knows exactly what can happen
Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter.
Local Canberra actors include TONY TURNER and LIZ BRADLEY

There’s trouble in River City!
When smooth-talking con man Harold Hill (Gordon Nicholson) arrives in a small, tight-knit town in Iowa, he expects to dupe its residents with his elaborate moneymaking scheme:
Despite his complete lack of musical literacy, he will convince everyone that he is a brilliant bandleader and recruit all the boys in town to form a band, pocketing the cash for instruments and uniforms.
The problem? Some of the town members, especially the stern librarian, Marian Paroo (Deanna Gibbs), don’t quite buy Harold’s story. As Harold struggles to keep his scheme afloat, he also finds himself increasingly attached to the townspeople, who have all experienced a positive change since Harold came to town. Complicating matters even more, Harold is also falling head-over-heels for the beautiful Marian.
As All-American as apple pie and as charming as can be, The Music Man is a crowd-pleasing show with some great tunes and interesting characters.

The Merry Widow is unchallenged the most popular Operetta of the 20th Century . Now the soaring pulsy sexy music has been lifted by a magnificent, hilarious new libretto.
Franz Lehar’s music created a world-wide waltz craze. Its famous songs include “The Merry Widow Waltz”, “Vela”, “Maxim’s”, “Girls, Girls, Girls” “Grisettes Song“. This new version is meticulous in its faithfulness to this brilliant music. What’s different is a new libretto with an Australian twist, the Widow is from rural Australia, Bluegum Creek, the relict of a wool baron.
This new work is so good it has been endorsed by the estate of Franz Lehar.
FRANK HATHERLEY, writer and BBC TV producer, has completely re-written the Merry Widow. Instead of it being the Pontevedrinian Embassy in Paris, it is the newly installed Australian Embassy, in Paris the first from the new Commonwealth in 1901.
It is very very funny. The Embassy is told if the Merry Widow (Louisa Keast) ,a young Blond bombshell the widow of a Wool Baron,(Charles Hudson) does not marry an Aussie, the new Commonwealth of Oz will go broke.
PLEASE NOTE NO MUSIC IS CHANGED. WE CAN’T IMPROVE ON THIS. It’s also the same basic plot, but with a twist. It’s full of great jokes, for instance the new Embassy has a flag design competition for Australia with hilarious consequences.

GREASE had its Broadway premiere in 1972 and has triumphed across the globe. In 1979 GREASE took over the record as the longest running show in the history of Broadway and the hit film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John proved to be the highest grossing movie musical ever. Everywhere it opened GREASE struck a universal chord with its irresistible mix of adolescent angst, vibrant physicality and 1950s pop culture. It is the No. 1 Party Musical, it’s got groove, it’s got meaning and it’s burning up the quarter mile!
Grease is so much fun. Fun, because it’s so corny. There are more leg shakes and greasy hair bangs in Grease than at the Bungendore Rodeo It seems that Grease has successfully travelled between generations.
Enjoy the journey of Danny and Sandy as they venture through their final year of High School. Greased back hair, Bobby Socks, full colourful skirts and high pony tails and songs such as “Greased Lightnin’” “You’re the One that I Want”.”Summer Lovin’” and “We Go Together”
GREASE has maintained its everlasting popularity, proving that teenage angst and love’s young dream remain timeless and universal themes. So dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as ‘bad boy’ Danny (Marcus Hurley) and ‘the girl next door’ Sandy (Roseanna Boyd) fall in love all over again. Be there or be square!
‘Fast, furious and thrilling, an injection of raw energy… and fun, fun, fun’ ‘Grease doesn’t have a message… it gives a flavour of being a teenager in the 50s when rock ‘n’ roll and putting Grease on your hair were the most important things in life…’

Well what are you waiting for? Come on up! THEY’RE BACK!
Yes, that’s right. Andy and Terry had such a ball with their crash-landing entry into the world of theatre with the 13-Storey Treehouse, they’re back for more.13 storeys more in fact.
You know what 13 more storeys means? More INVENTIONS – like the 78 flavour ice-cream dispensing robot and the brain bamboozling Maze of Doom (not to mention the self-inflating underpants) and more things to go WRONG – not least of which is the very real possibility that the entire show is a complete and utter disaster. Will Andy and Terry push their friend Jill to her absolute limits? And who is this shady Hector Houtkop, with a really bad pirate accent?
And what about ALL THOSE PIRATES?
Adapted by award-winning playwright and author Richard Tulloch (The Book of Everything, Bananas in Pyjamas), The 26-Storey Treehouse is brough to you by the same cracker team that delivered the smash-hit stage version of The 13-Storey Treehouse.
Audience advice: Recommended for ages 6 – 12 and their adults.
Andy Griffiths is one of Australia’s most popular children’s authors. Andy is best known for The Treehouse series, the JUST! books and The Day My Bum Went Psycho.
Over the last 20 years Andy’s books have been New York Times bestsellers, adapted for the stage and television and won more than 50 Australian children’s choice awards. Andy, a passionate advocate for literacy, is an ambassador for The Indigenous Literacy Foundation and The Pyjama Foundation.

A Comedy About Life, Love….and the AFL and NRL. Our great game viewed by an unlikely pair in the reserved section
of a major football stadium.
This action packed play features real-life husband and wife team David Ross Paterson (Frost/Nixon, Benjamin Button, Chopper) as a loud, burly football fan,
and
Cecelia Specht (Criminal Minds, Castle, Neighbours) as a recently divorced football widow, who has claimed her ex-husband’s tickets as part of a messy divorce settlement.
As a footy “conscientious objector” she is blissfully immune to the attraction of the game and instantly locks horns with her ex-husband’s footy-mate who becomes her reluctant companion over four eventful quarters. They make a seriously mismatched couple with little to offer each other. Or do they?
Reserved Seating Only brings the colour and controversy of football to the stage, along with a witty insight into the battle of the sexes set in the context of our
national obsession with sport.

George Gordon Noel, the 6th Lord Byron, was one of the greatest British poets and a leading figure in the Romantic Movement. He was an eccentric who was described by Lady Carolyn Lamb (one of his many lovers) As “Mad Bad and Dangerous to know”
It was an apt description for a character who regularly re-invented himself and created the template for what was to become, In a later age – The rock star
The Lord Byron 5 is a band of distinguished musicians dedicated to performing selected poetical works of Byron in an original and compelling musical and theatrical act. The brain child of award-winning musician, composer and songwriter CRAIG DAWSON, the show has been described as “gothic steampunk folk-rock”. Dark, funny, sexy and energetic, the characterisations reflect aspects of, and people from Byron’s short but turbulent and scandal-ridden life as the music varies from the sweet lyrical “LINES ADDRESSED TO A YOUNG LADY” through the black, brutally romantic “THE GIAOUR” and all stops between!

Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize, Tracy Letts’ black comedy/drama August: Osage County continues to receive high critical acclaim from both critics and audiences alike.
August: Osage County is set on the plains of modern day, middle-class Oklahoma. The Weston family members are all intelligent, sensitive creatures who have the uncanny ability of making each other absolutely miserable. When the patriarch of the household mysteriously vanishes, the damaged Weston clan gathers together to simultaneously support and mercilessly attack one another.
The release of the movie starring Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Juliette Lewis, Ewan McGregor, Dermot Mulroney, Abigail Breslin, Chris Cooper, Sam Shephard and Benedict Cumberbatch has further enhanced the status of this wonderful play.
Directors notes…
“Eat the fish b%$#@!”
These loving words are from eldest daughter, Barbara,(Andrea Close) to encourage her cancer-ridden, pill-popping mother to eat something. With lines like this – and there are many other examples – you know that this is the play to make you feel good about the worst of your own family’s failings. And you know that, even as you are confronted with the ghastliness of the family relationships portrayed before you, you will laugh at the dark humour of the whole situation – and feel guilty as you laugh. Tracy Letts’ award-winning play (Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award 2008) is set in the present day, outside Pawhuska, Oklahoma, 60 miles northwest of Tulsa. At the beginning of the play, Beverly Weston, (David Bennet) an alcoholic, once-famous poet and academic, interviews a young Cheyenne woman whom he employs as a live-in housekeeper to care for him and his wife, Violet,(Karen Vickery) who has cancer of the mouth and is addicted to many prescription drugs. Soon after, we learn that Beverly has disappeared and some members of the family meet at the house to support Violet while the search goes on. When the news arrives that Beverly is dead, the rest of the family arrive for the funeral and for the funeral dinner. As the family reunion unfolds, an assortment of extreme emotions is released as the tangled web of relationships is explored. Pent-up animosities explode as repressed truths emerge and dark secrets are revealed. A mix of hatred, love and jealousy pour out of every corrosive conversation between members of this family in meltdown. Cruelty and kindness become entangled, venomous recriminations intertwine with declarations of love and family loyalty as the family members struggle to deal with one crisis after another. Issues abound, ranging from individual and family problems to a wider critique of the myths of American family life and social situation and further to the nature of the human condition.

CELEBRATING CURTIN’S 50TH BIRTHDAY
In 1964 people first moved into the new suburb of Curtin. Many of the early settlers in Curtin liked the rustic surrounds – sheep grazing over the back fence, a real creek in which to find yabbies on the northern side of what would become the overpass to Hughes. There was a handy tip at the end of Carruthers behind where the Telstra Deakin offices now are on Kent St. Scavenging was popular.
The suburb grew very quickly – within 2 years it had 3 primary schools, North and South Curtin and Holy Trinity, and so many pre-schoolers that some had to attend pre-school out-of-suburb.
Curtin has come a long way since those early years, and to celebrate our 50th year, the Curtin community is putting on a series of events, the highlight of which will be a party at the Curtin shops from 2-7pm on Friday 17 October 2014.
Past and present residents of Curtin are invited to join the celebration on Friday 17 October.
A full program of entertainment will include music in the square by musicians from the Curtin Primary
School Band and Holy Trinity Primary School Choir, the 4 Bridges, the Rugby Choir, Random Notes and many other musicians including regular performers at Beyond Q. Music will go on until 8pm. At other stalls you will find information about community activities and Curtin’s local history, items to sample (including wine and olive oil) and activities for children.
Special guests will participate in a cake cutting ceremony to mark our 50th year.
Local designers gatbi have created a unique souvenir tea towel to celebrate Curtin’s 50th year, which you’ll be able to pick up on the day, along with a range of other craft and market items.
And food! Local retailers will have stalls selling pizza, Nepalese, Vietnamese and seafood. A sausage sizzle will raise money for local community services L’Arche and Outreach House

Amongst the vast selection of esteemed films that will feature at Russian Resurrection are Test, winner of 2014’s Kinotavr Film Festival’s Best Film; Stalingrad, a compelling film on the epic battle between Russian and German forces during WWII; and Dersu Uzala winner of the 1976 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
In an atmosphere of excitement, festivity and Russian hospitality, Russian Resurrection enhances and invigorates the relationships between Russia, Australia, and now New Zealand. It is this jubilant atmosphere, mixed with the rich culture attached to the brilliant Russian film industry that makes attendance to this event a must.
“I am proud and honoured to show the world what the Russian film industry has to offer. With over 65,000 people having attended the event since we started in 2003, it seems Australians really do appreciate what the Russian film industry has to offer. I can’t wait for them to see what we have in store for them this year,” said Russian Resurrection Film Festival’s Managing Director, Nicholas Maksymow.
Russian Resurrection was first established in 2003 to support the growing Russian Film Industry, and to showcase the talent of Russian filmmakers and actors on a global scale. Since its inception, Russian Resurrection has had more than 65,000 people attend the festival, and will now showcase, for the first time, in New Zealand.

Michael White might just be the most famous person you’ve never heard of.
The London theatre and film impresario, produced over 200 shows and movies over the last 50 years. Bringing to the stage the risqué productions of Oh! Fondly known as ‘Chalky’ by his friends, he is now in his late seventies and still enjoys partying like there’s no tomorrow. In this intimate documentary, filmmaker Gracie Otto introduces us to this larger-than-life phenomenon.

Lisa Chappell’s new cabaret!!
Starring Lisa Chappell (McLeod’s Daughters, Fred) | Marissa Dikkenberg (Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore)
Director Scott Witt | Musical Director Daryl Wallis
Two-time Logie Award winner and darling of the 2013 Sydney Fringe Festival, Lisa Chappell is bringing her latest show, “ON/OFF”, to Canberra!
Best known for her role as Clair McLeod on Channel 9’s McLeod’s Daughters, Lisa Chappell is proving herself to be a major talent as a writer and performer for the stage as well. Her one-woman show, Fred, wowed audiences and thrilled critics – touted as one of the gems of last year’s Sydney Fringe Festival.
Meet the odd couple – Maddy Jacobson and Sara Sommerville, two small-time cabaret singers with big-time dreams. Maddy is a broke rebel with anger issues, Sara is a relentlessly optimistic trophy wife who’s onto her umpteenth round of IVF. Just before the curtain goes up, their pianist quits, Sara gets dumped and Maddy realises that she’s pregnant – SHOWTIME!
Jazz standards such as “Get Happy” and “The Man I Love” take on a whole new connotation as we watch the performers’ masks go on, then slowly slip off as they struggle to get through their tumultuous show. ON/OFF is a dark, hilarious look at the world of cabaret, and includes hit songs from Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Peggy Lee, and many more.“

Synopsis
Forbidden Broadway is an Off-Broadway revue parodying musical theatre, particularly Broadway musicals. It was conceived, written and directed by Gerard Alessandrini. The original version of the revue opened on January 15, 1982 at Palsson’s Supper Club in New York City and ran for 2,332 performances. Alessandrini has rewritten the show over a dozen times over the years to include parodies of newer shows. In the original iteration of the show, Alessandrini was one of the original actors. Michael Chapman directed and produced.
The show, in its various editions, has received over 9,000 performances and been seen in more than 200 U.S. cities as well as playing in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Sydney.
In this long-running Off-Broadway hit musical revue, Broadway’s greatest musical legends meet Broadway’s greatest satirist in this hilarious, loving, and endlessly entertaining tribute to some of the theatre’s greatest stars and songwriters. Sendups of Broadway shows such as Chicago, Annie, Into the Woods, Hello Dolly, West Side Story, Wicked, Les Mis, Mamma Mia, Rent, Spamalot, CATS, Fiddler on the Roof, Hairspray and A Chorus Line

Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange was one of the most important works of fiction of the 20th Century with prophetic sentiments that are increasingly relevant in the world today. It is a warning of an encroaching state and the dangers of having our independence robbed. It is also an optimistic view on humanity and suggests that, if given the chance, we humans have the choice to divert to goodness and a path of redemption.
Cutting edge theatre company Action to the Word was formed in 2008 to create exciting theatre for a wide audience. Artistic Director Alexandra Spencer-Jones says “In the wake of the London riots, A Clockwork Orange has a new power of its own, asking once again, ‘Is it better to be forced to be good or better to choose to be bad?’”

Slava ’s Snowshow is a fusion of traditional and contemporary theatrical clowning arts, and a beautifully crafted visual spectacle.
The show brilliantly creates a world of wonderment and fantasy that transports the audience to a joyous dream-like place, where a bed becomes a boat in a storm-tossed sea; a woman is wrapped in cellophane and becomes flowers in a vase; a child walks in amazement inside a bubble; Slava boards a train and then becomes the train, his chimney-pot hat billowing smoke; and a web of unspun cotton envelopes the audience.
The stunning finale sees a letter turn into snowflakes, and the flakes turn into a snowstorm,
which whirls around the auditorium, leaving the audience ankle-deep in snow.
Slava’s Snowshow is a visual masterpiece loved by children & adults alike.
